Spirito di Vino (“Spirit of Wine”) is the international competition of “wine satire”born in the 2000’s by virtue of the Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia, for give the young cartoonist the possibility of illustrate the world of wine in an original way, through the scratchy language of the satire.
Straight away well-known personalities from the italian satirical context joined with great enthusiasm, like Giorgio Forattini, our honorary president, Emilio Giannelli and Alfio Krancic, our incumbent president, to whom joined at 2005 Valerio Marini. To finish up the jury, famous cultural personallities and giornalists: Carlo Cambi (wine & food giornalist), Gianluigi Colin (art director from Corriere della Sera), Aldo Colonetti (Academic of the Design Faculty in the university Politecnico di Milano), Paolo Marchi (wine & food giornalist Identità Golose), Franz Botré and Enzo Rizzo (director and vice director from the Spirito DiVino magazione), Francesco Salvi (actor), Fede & Tinto (Decanter – RadioRai).
We want to particularly thank them for their enthusiasm and dedication that have always demonstrated.
Spirito di Vino had become a reference point for the cartoonists to be and already successful ones, acquiring overtime a wider vibe and collecting around 9.000 cartoons from more than 50 countries in the world.
Thanks to the prestigious collaboration of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Udine GB Tiepolo: Spirito di Vino, from 2018, will give room to the satirical illustration, bringing the attention back to the manual skills. The hand that materializes the idea in a white paper like the farmer’s hand that cultivates the land for later on harvest its fruits.
